A Great Place to Have a War shows that neither do countries. The Hmong surely know this.
I did not know that more tonnage of bombs was dropped on Laos than on all Axis nations in World War II and that the clandestine war there was the birthplace of today's CIA approach.
A worthwhile book - read it
