note to self: 40 days of solid meditation practice

Today marks forty days of meditating every single day at least 45 minutes. Now increasing my goal by a half hour. Over the decades I have usually meditated 3-4 times/week unless on formal retreat. The coronavirus gives a sense that time may be short, so I am applying myself to what is important.

I have tried to view this time of isolation as a meditation retreat, as a lesson in what is important and especially a lesson in letting go..I am not perfect in these, but I find this forced isolation very interesting and calming...I do get cabin fever sometimes, but that's a part of this.And I got so joyful this morning to see my first little spinach seed sprouting and right now the sound of the pond and fountain and the cool morning air coming through my window..what could be better.....
